Title: Senior Manager – MFS Products & Services

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
Products and Services development for the MTN Mobile Money, creating competitive advantage for the company in fast growing markets. Specifically, creation of new products and services in a segmented approach for Customers (Mass and emerging, SMEs, Corporates), Merchants and Mobile Money Agents. To manage the Company’s products and services delivery process for existing and new products to meet business growth objectives.

Main Job Functions:
• Working in a competitive Financial Sales environment
• Complex operational environment that requires multi skill in banking or telecoms operations
• Increasing need for inter departmental collaboration in products and services development
• Increased complexity and dynamism in the mobile financial services area
• Complex analysis to determine the next products and services giving the company competitive edge
• Knowledge of the legal, regulatory and commercial environment of Uganda especially banking and digital financial services
• Changes in digital financial services consumer behavior, technology advancements in this fast-moving industry
• Continued regulatory maturity with a lot of new legislation, compliance guidelines and requirements

Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA’s)
• Manage products and services build and implementation governance process
• Aggregator/Integrator supervision and ongoing management to deliver against KPIs
• Payment acceptor ongoing product support
• Relationship management of key external and internal innovation partners
• Development of strategic business plans, business cases, budgets and forecasts
• Ensure set market penetration targets are achieved in regions
• Development of new products and services to give MTN Mobile Money Uganda new revenue streams

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
• A Master’s degree or Professional qualification in Marketing would be an added advantage

• 5 – 7 years’ experience in a sales environment as well as operating a dealer Management function.
• Financial services training or mobile money-related training is preferred

• Passion for new technology and unproven markets
• Desire to win in the marketplace
• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Very good knowledge and presentation skills using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and other relevant software (for the purpose of analyzing data and producing reports to Senior Management)

• Knowledge in system development lifecycles and business analysis
