JOB DETAIL

Overall purpose of the job.
1. Supervising a team to ensure hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with food industry standard
2. Assigning housekeeping task to staff and inspecting work to ensure that that prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.
3. Establishes standards and procedure for work of housekeeping staff
4. Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions and time cards and prepare periodic reports
5. Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
6. Preparing and planning all the materials required like scrubbers and disinfectants.
7. Supervising the overall cleanliness of plant

Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting to Deputy manager production.
2. Ensuring the high standard of hygiene in the working area
3. Ensuring collection of waste and disposal into designed areas.
4. Preparing and submitting records as per cleaning schedule provided
5. Adhering to and enforcing the safety, health and environment policy of the company
6. Daily Checking and cleaning cob webs
7. Daily cleaning of drains inside and outside sweet factory
8. Weekly cleaning of Boiler drains from welfare office till behind sugar store
9. Daily wastage like wrapper. cotton waste removing from production area
10. Removing empty sugar bags from production area
11. Removing and transferring empty glucose drums to store with gate pass
12. Removing and weighing empty paper core and transferring to store with gate pass
13. Slashing grass behind sweet factory area
14. Maintaining and cleaning main dust bin pit behind sweet factory area
15. Removing small pants from roof top of building
16. Checking outside cleanliness such as removing empty wrappers and lollipop stick from front office area
17. Keeping directors/managers car parking area neat and clean
18. Keeping canteen area clean and employees sitting area clean
19. Removing dust bin from canteen /workshop/packing section area
20. Clearing dust bin from wash room area
21. Taking care of office gardening
22. Taking care of glucose holding area and sugar loading area
23. Cleaning of window glass and partition glass
24. Cleaning of plastic curtain
25. Checking plastic crates cleaning
26. Floor cleaning in packing section
27. Floor cleaning in finished goods room
28. Checking sugar store cleanliness, cob webs, rat bets, sugar spoilage
29. Checking packing material store cleanliness, cob webs, rat bets,
30. Checking fire extinguisher and its expired date
31. Checking FIRST AID BOX and keeping medicine, uses, register, expiry date reporting
32. Checking and reporting to management about any civil work such as tiles broken, window broken, glass broken or any damage to infrastructure
33. Keeping all COAs for chemical used housekeeping
34. Sorting and counting empty sugar bags and transferring to store with gate pass
35. Keeping all dust bin in place and maintain cleanliness
36. Identification numbers all rat bets, dust bin to be monitored daily basis.
37. Daily checking rat bets and cleaning and record keeping
38. Keeping record of fire extinguishers used in sweet factory and its expiry date
39. To follow housekeeping standard as per UNBS, ISO and UMA guide lines
40. Maintain record for UNBS and ISO audit.
41. Performing various cleaning duties in instance of staff shortage
42. Makes recommendations to improve and ensure more efficient operation
43. Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
44. Performing any other duties that may be assigned to you by the sweet factory manager / management from time to time.

Knowledge, qualifications & Experience
Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in food science and technology
2. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or in industrial chemistry
3. Bachelors degree in BSc chemistry

Experience, Skills and Competences:
1. Minimum one to three-year experience required in food and confectionery or food and beverage industry
2. Fresh graduate in food science and technology can apply
