Our client, a long in existence (O & A-level) secondary school in central Uganda seeks to recruit qualified, experienced and competent teachers and non-teaching staff. Huram Solutions hereby invites suitably qualified candidates to fill the position.
Job Titles: 3 Caterers
Report to: Custodian.

Job Summary: The Caterer shall cook and serve quality meals for staff and students, maintain high food cooking and hygiene standards, ensure good personal hygiene and sate food handling to prevent food poisoning, ensure food is cooked in time not to disruot the school meal timetable, apply good food and nutrition practices; suggesting ways to enrich school diets and meet the nutritional needs of the school, use resources like water, power, food, and cleaning materials with sensitivity to cost without compromising health, wash and safely stack away cooking and eating utensils and equipment in accordance to high health and safety practices, and take charge of kitchen equipment and utensils suggesting ways to improve quality services.

Minimum Requirements:

•  Certificate in a profession related to Hotel Management, Home economics, or Hospitality or a related discipline (Diploma is an added advantage}.
• 3 years‘ experience in a similar iob role or a related function.
• The ideal candidate should have sound values; good chef practice and management, food waste-management and disposal skills; Basic budgeting knowledge; forecasting, storage and presewation skills, team-management; ability to communicate effectively; strong interpersonal skills; results-driven; ability to work independently and take initiative; and demonstrated discretion.
