About UNRA:
The Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was established by the National Authority Act, No. 15 of 2006. UNRA became operational on 1st July 2008. The mandate of UNRA is to develop and maintain the national roads network, advise Government on general roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport concerns.
Job Summary:
The Cost Estimator will assist the Cost Estimation Specialist in ensuring that the cost estimation methods used in determining the design and construction costs are in line with the industrial accepted standards. The Estimator will also be responsible for caring out unit rate analysis for all construction items using best cost element of labor, material, equipment, overheads, risks and profit. In addition, the Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost comparisons of both unit rates and per kilometer costs with similar on-going road and bridges development and maintenance projects both in Uganda and within the region.
